This beautiful fish net dress was designed by the Grade 3 class at General Gordon University, using reclaimed fish net from the Ocean Legacy Foundation! Worn here by the stunning Carling Jackson (Artist)! This amazing and educational project was led by teacher (and artist) Kyle Nylund, who took the role of Future Oceans Director of Education. While making this gorgeous dress, they learned about plastic pollution in the ocean, and the effects of micro-plastics on marine life. Thank you Kyle and Carling for your leadership- and for reminding us all how ART and can make a permanent and meaningful impression on young minds. Photo by Kelly Hofer #oceanplastic

These days you see so many people supporting the environment and making posts about saving the turtles. When in fact, they do not care about the environment themselves. They constantly find themselves telling followers to go plastic free when they are currently drinking out of a plastic straw and buying only plastic packaged items. I constantly felt that I don’t do enough for the environment. That’s why I developed this list of things I can do. I wanted to let you know that I not one of those people and let you into a little bit of my life 😊. Also I completely understand that many cheap items come in plastic packaging, and by all means if you need to save that extra money, it is completely fine. But the people that can afford to maybe buy the slightly more expensive compostable packaged item, should. Because we can make the change for all the people out there that can’t. Well that’s all, hope you enjoyed🥰 - - - - - -   plastic

Phi Phi Islands

Greetings from Phi Phi. The most disgusting morning on Thailand beach ever. We cleaned one little piece before high tide took it all in. It doesn’t stop people from swimming. What a shame. #oceanplastic
